i've seen before where the music channel doesn't fade correctly. 
(like the fadeout calls). i'll try to look into this, couple of 
questions..

first, i guess the music is WAV, since you can play it on normal 
channels? second, is this on windows, or some sort of unix? if unix, 
which version of SDL_mixer?
