It should be pretty easy to get a cross compiler happening.  There are
ones for lots of other arm based machines.

With the gp2x you can log in and use a shell.  My cross compiler setup
is running on debian unstable i386 and takes up 869M of disk space!

Blogging about the machinations to get it to the "import pygame"
point would help the rest of us lazy folk who may have stumbled upon
a similar device :)

Have you figured out how to get cross-compilation going from a faster
linux box with a decent amount of RAM and storage?
