Thanks everyone for all the ideas. I tried pyaudio and it worked well
for recording but dies with playing back the sound. It was their test
so it should be written right. I have not dug into it yet. The
recording played using Amarok though.
I will look into pysound and see how that goes. The other libs sound fun!
