I'd still love for pygame to incorporate the patches that Bob Ippolito
submitted to this list in late July! :)

As (I thought) I sent to the mailing list last month, I've been using
these patches with great success for some time, and I believe Bob has,
too. Bob also has a binary installer for pygame using MacPython-2.3's
Package Manager, so I suspect a significant number (majority,
probably) of OS X pygame users are also using this patched version,
weather they know it or not. This patch significantly cut out the
amount of OS X-only ObjC code. (Albeit by making a dependency on
PyObjC, but I think this is as it make the source much easier to
maintain and PyObjC is also automatically installable with Package
Manager.)

Seriously, I think motivation to add OS X support for new stuff would
be greatly enhanced by the incorporation of those patches. Let me know
if you want me to re-send them.

While you're on a build-fest, could I put in a request to build a
Win32 pygame with Numeric 21.0 and Python 2.2(.x)? This is the
version of Numeric that PyOpenGL was built with in their latest binary
Win32 distro. (It's been a while since a big release on that
project.) The surfarray stuff dies otherwise...

Cheers, and good luck with the release!
