[school-discuss] Collaboration software

Hello
Does anyone know if any open source collaboration software exists?
Our high school Technology Education teachers would like to set up
a collaboration enivironment to share documents, CAD files, ideas,
and whiteboard sketches. We are considering Peer-to-Peer tools like
EZMeeting and Groove. Since we use Linux web servers we are
interested in an open source solution.

I am new to this list.
As an introduction, I am the Instructional Technology Specialist in a
large
midwestern high school. My job duties include staff training, managing
hardware,
and first-call technical support. We use a mix of Wintel and Mac. I
would
like to introduce some Linux desktops for some diversity. Our network
uses Linux webservers and mail with Win2000 file serving. I am a strong
believer
in Open Source for education but it is a bit of a battle in a very
Wintel-centric area.
