Normally FOSS *for* Education is about ensuring that the current
curricula of the schools is delivered using FOSS tools while FOSS *in*
Education is about policy changes that ensure using FOSS concepts and
context through a learn-by-doing approach towards teaching programming.
It also is related to ensuring an OS neutral curricula and making sure
that there is choice while choosing the platform to teach.

There is a longish mail on this issue (from me) at
http://www.mail-archive.com/ilug-cal-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/msg00569.html

There is a community around this in India
(http://fci.wikia.com/wiki/Education)

Lastly, thanks a lot for the wonderful interviews
