I obtained one of the last version of 6.2 but cannot get it to
load properly. (kernel panic). At this point, the computers for
which I worked on a compact RH6.2 have all been sold but I'm continuing
working on the project hoping that some poorly funded school with old
computers may find the saving in operating system makes conversion to
LINUX worthwhile.

I'm sure that is right and that RH will not continue indefinitely to
support 6.2 updates. If 7.2 is impossible on these systems, I may try
some other distribution; several have been mentioned that are smaller
than RH 7.2.

I've learned to appreciate du. When I tried to execute the sequence
above,
I get
du: `/;proc/26785/fd/4': No such file or directory
Frustrating.

I enjoyed your script, even with the easy-cyrillic. I'm incorporating
some
of the code in my own scrips lately.
