I will definitely be looking into this. I developed a shell of k12admin
using Java and loved the object oriented approach for this. The data is
definitely the core with projects like this. I've never done objected
oriented programming in Perl, but your code should definitely help. It
looks like your focus is post-K-12, but it would definitely be nice to at
least merge the data layers between our projects. Your data layer looks
to be nicer than mine, so I'll certainly consider merging it into
K12Admin. I'm also a big fan of SQL backends (I need the speed for
security audit and inappropriate web use lookups), so I'd be interested in
adding that functionality to your modules, in addition to flat ascii
database files.
