I'd probably prefer to have the option between tile-constrained movement or
free movement as an option under some sort of "preferences" dialog.
As for the creature stats, what would people feel about having them
specified as part of the theme? This would be easy enough to implement
(have an additional file in the theme directory, akin to the NAMES file,
which gives the stats), and seems consistent with the concept of a "theme",
but is a bit inefficient WRT storage, if the only difference between two
themes is the stats, but you have to duplicate the graphics...
