Having finally played it mayself I agree with most of what you said.

It is really easy for player 1 to conquer the factory. You don't even need
the gunship. It's probably a good idea to remove some of the units in this
depot and also to make conquering it more difficult for player 1, so that
the normal flow of things would be for player 2 to get it. In that case,
player 1 would need to get a few more tanks and stuff, though. (Also noticed
that you can't repair in the factory...)

I disagree here. He does have quite a lot but it's all he will ever get down
there, and it's quite possible to fend them off.

Maybe. With the current number of gunships they are important simply as a
threat so that player 1 cannot send them across the river without fear of
severe casualties. But even if they get wasted pretty quickly by the AA
forces they do inflict heavy damage on the gunships nevertheless.

As the original author is not interested, would you like to take over
maintainership of this map?
