Ok, using gsch2pcb option -v -v gives much more information.

Do I need an .inc file containing the footprint name for gsch2pcb
to work. My Gentoo-Linux has .inc-files for some footprints, but
not for all:

stefan@localhost /usr/share/pcb/m4 $ grep HC49 *
geda.inc:#   HC49
geda.inc:define(`PKG_HC49',  `PKG_CRYSTAL(`$1', `$2', `$3',
300)');
geda.list:geda_HC49:HC49:HC49
geda.m4:define(`Description_geda_HC49', ``Crystal'')

stefan@localhost /usr/share/pcb/m4 $ grep CONN_USB *
gtag.list:conn_usb:CONN_USB:conn_usb
gtag.m4:define(`PKG_CONN_USB',
stefan@localhost /usr/share/pcb/m4 $

HC49 footprint works with gsch2pcb, CONN_USB not.

I will try to fix this.

Thanks
