Keyboard problems

One of the nastier bugs in RedHat 6.1 was that despite asking the user
for his keyboard it didn't change it so you had to type US-like. In 6.2
code seems correct but it depends on external programs and having the
keyboard tables in the right place.

It would be useful if someone having downloaded 6.2 beta could do the
following test:. Start the installation, choose French keyboard, then
type an 'A': if it displays 'Q' that means that the keyboard is in
french mode (correct behaviour). Than switch to console mode with
<CTRL>-<ALT>-<F1> and perform the same test. (I am assuming that your
mouse it is being recognized and that you have enough memory so the
install has selected X mode.
