Agreed. The video really impressed me, because of their obvious sincerity and thoughtfulness. These people are not idealistic college sophomores. They are highly intelligent, accomplished professionals and scholars.

The OLPC controversy means a lot to me, because I am carefully weighing changing careers to go into edtech, and a lot of my impetus comes from stories of people refurbishing PCs to give the poor access to information, so criticisms that food/ job/ security comes before PCs really affect me, causing me to stop and think.

I do, however, agree that the OLPC people are smarter than I and have really thought about the topic, so I am inclined to believe that they know what they are talking about.
