I used to use 0603's as my primary size, but I've gone to 0804 as my 
default size. I decided that the savings in PCB space isn't worth the 
increase in tweezer time.  Not that 0603 is all that hard, it's just 
enough more fiddly and for what I'm doing, anyway, doesn't buy me 
anything most of the time.
