Robert,

This may be obsolete information since most PCB-makers don't use apertures
any more afaik.  These would have been little windows used to shoot light
through to expose photoresist on circuitboards.  Old school.

Apertures are not drills.  I assume that modern PCB-House software can
interpret them from your gerbers if they need them, anyway.

my board maker just needs gerbers for the layers and fab-drawing,  and the
nc drill file.  You just bundle up these items (in a zip possibly) and
send them in ... then they mail you the boards.

You shouldn't have to worry much about any of the process stuff--they do
all that for you ... in fact I believe it's almost completely automated,
they are really just printing your boards in copper, with little interest
of interference on their part.

Try using the FREE DFM thing that 4pcb offers to see if they'll have a
problem with your boards.  It's free, and will give you some confidence
about your first order.
