I like to keep my desktop free off KDE stuff. So I looked for the gnome
way to achieve the same goal. There seems to be no direct equivalent to
kprinter. Since gnome desktops typically have CUPS installed, the
preferred print command is
	lp -d CUPS-PDF-Printer

A prerequisite to make this work is the package cups-pdf. A PDF printer
called "CUPS-PDF-Printer" should be configured as a "Local Printer" via
the usual CUPS interface. Choose Manufacturer "Generic", model "CUPS-PDF-
Printer".

Add this line to the local gschemrc to make the lp print command default:
	(print-command "lp -d CUPS-PDF-Printer")
The resulting PDF will go to $HOME/PDF by default.

I will put the various ways to get decent PDFs to the wiki.
