This may be achieved with the --action-script, or by the --action-string 
option. These provide actions that are executed on start-up. 
Unfortunately, pcb skips these scripts with non-GUI HIDs. 

I filed a patch for this bug. However, lat time Ichecked, it had not been 
applied.

There is a --listen option to send actions via stdin which I haven't 
tried this, yet. Please report your mileage, if you go this route.
