gEDA-user: Easy way to scale (reduce) large components ?

I used the header50-3 (in the connector library) as the basis of my new
component, only to find that it is oversized to fit on an A4 titleblock.
Truthfully, I don't know how anyone could utilize it in a standard sized
schematic.   

Is there a way to set the scale of a connector object outside of the
schematic it is used in ?  If I could scale the connector by 50%, it
would be just right.
