Good to hear!

Nope.  Not yet.

Hmm,..  does anyone know if it's very hard to write it my own. Is there a 1-to-1 correspondence between geda format and viewdraw format (or one is a subset of another?) ?

The source is indeed the noweb code.  I can't say that there are a lot
of comments in there, however. . . .

What are you looking to do with the source?  If you are going to hack
libgeda, I have the beginnings (only the beginnings ...) of a document
capturing the libgeda API on my website (back up again, BTW) at:

Believe it or not, I'm thinking of hacking geda to support Viewdraw native  format.  Of course,  I'd love to hear from you guys if this is even feasible without having to spend years in coding... :-)

The doc is called libgeda_functions.sxw.  Please feel free to use it
and add to it if you wish.

Thank you for the document. It's always better to have some starting point!
