Yup, I've been following the conversation. I have some suggestions, but I'll 
post them to the correct thread.

Fortunately, the behaviour that particular patch was trying to correct has 
been fixed since then, as far as I can tell. However, I still need to set the 
paper size twice to be able to print my schematics: once in the gschem print 
dialog, and again using ps2ps.

I'm guessing that the 'right' way to fix this would be to insert DSC comments 
into the PostScript file, and I tried it.  There's a snag though: no matter 
what the settings of the print dialog in gschem, 
w_current->setpagedevice_orientation and w_current->setpagedevice_pagesize 
are never, ever set?
