I'm no expert, but you might want to use several - ought to help achieve
a lower inductance connection.

Also, the plating inside a via starts at no copper.. the tracks on your
other layers, which start with a certain weight of copper, and are
plated up from that. Unless the plating process is more aggressive in
vias, this ought to mean your vias has less copper thickness.

Why not just connect the switching components directly to the
appropriate power plane with a number of vias each?
