gEDA-user: Unnecessary gnetlist warning

My current project is a little larger than usual. Its hierarchical design
spreads over 16 pages. Some of these are used multiple times. If I call
gsch2pcb, the output on stdout is swamped by literally(*) thousands of
warnings of this type:

/-------------------------
WARNING: Trying to rename something twice:
	B/Vref and B/Vref

are both src and dest name
This warning is okay, if you have multiple levels of hierarchy!
\--------------------------

What would be legitimate causes of this warning? Would ist be possible
to discriminate between a probable problem and this hierarchy artifact?
