The idea of a communal footprint archive, whether wiki based, web
based (like the symbol archive), or whatever comes up here regularly.
Like many other good ideas, everybody talks about it, but nobody
actually takes the initiative to do it.

If you have a server running a wiki & the time to do it, please go
ahead.

You are right.  The question is:  Who has the time, equipment, and
desire to donate this resource to the common good?  Talk is cheap.
Take the initiative!
