gEDA-user: select entire net/apply netname

Hi, I've got two related questions pertaining to connecting nets.
Q1: Is there a way to apply one net name to a group of selected net 
segments?  Presently, I'm 2x-clicking each segment to edit, then pasting 
netname, hitting enter twice to apply the setting...
Q2: Is there a way to select all net segments with the same netname 
attribute?  I'd like to verify that a given net has all of the 
connections that it should, and none that it shouldn't.  (I should say 
visually verify from within gschem; I'll go through the netlist to 
double-check later.)
These are a couple of actions I'm accustomed to from other schematic 
capture programs, but I haven't been able to find a gschem analog.  If 
there's a better way, I'm all ears.
