Eh...people are moving away from Windows in droves. Those who stick with it will be left behind by the rest of the modern software world, so why should gEDA be any different in that regard? Ten years ago I may have agreed, but nowadays the use of Windows is shrinking, not growing.

Want to run gEDA on Windows? Sorry, never heard of Windows. It must be
somoe toy or something in a niche market. Sorry, we don't support it ;-)

It is definitely both of those. However, its current niche, especially amongst the tie-wearing folk who seem to think that they "neeeeeeed it", is fairly large. Shrinking fast, but still large.


It's still an incompatible, proprietary, overpriced and barely-functional product. I really don't see the point of supporting it based on that alone, though Bob did make an excellent point for it earlier.
