Yes, it is possible. It uses real polygons in the gerber files rather
than hatching with lines like some older EDA applications. Use the
Polygon tool, or the simpler Rectangle tool to define Areas of copper on
the desired layer.

Track contain a flag that keeps the polygon copper from pouring over to
it. Make sure to turn on the switch "enable newlines, arcs clear
polygons" in the settings menu. This only affects new tracks. If you
already laid out many tracks without the clear flag you can select them
and use the command changejoin(selection).
