Fixed, it was a bug in the reworked place code which the other patches
sit on.

(I really must tidy that up properly, and get it in a state where it
could be committed to master).


I also fixed the bug with copying embedded objects not having them draw
properly, or be click-able. That was caused by a latent bug, exposed by
the new place code.
