Not quite. There seems to be a consensus, that hidden nets are bad style.
At least, I haven't seen anyone advocate net attributes in the default lib.
The main difference between heavy and light symbols is the inclusion of a 
footprint attribute and/or documentation links and/or simulation attributes,
and/or license information.
