Standing on the shoulders of giants (or at least those with artistic talent)... I've started playing around with elements from the Gnome text editor (gedit) icon, and Tomaz's mime-type icons for gEDA + PCB. I've attached an SVG with some options. What do people like, any suggestions? The hard work will be making the pixel perfect small versions, but of course, this is easier with a nice design to start with. I'm working on trying to add the "verb" of editing into the icon, and the pencil / paper (which I tried to make into a schematic canvas) from the gedit icon seem to fit nicely here.
