Try starting with the line drawing tool, but override the "any
direction" flag so you always draw a non-angled line.  When the second
point is set, instead of creating the line, use that to intersect any
line it cuts.  Use r_search to find the candidates, then check for
actual intersections and call the insertpoint code for each.
