Re: gEDA-user: Power nets in hierarchy
Hi,
I have had a design where I used part of other design.
I made a hierarchical block for the part containing the parts of the
previous design, and included it in the new one.
This seems easy.
The VCC of the old design was global (the same for all the design), but
in the new one, VCC and GND of that part were not the same as the global
VCC or GND of the new design.
So, I would recommend that there were power ports, and power nets (like
VCC, GND and so on) use those ports to hierarchical connections.
It would make the life simpler and improve the readability of the
designs in a few situations...
