Just for clarity sake, in this particular area there is not ground
plane. Just the ground plane layer. If I had zoomed out, you'd see
lots of copper in other areas.

We're on the same wavelength - I am considering that as well. But like
I said before, if there's a shorter path, the low frequency signal will
take it. So if you are suggesting a diff-pair sort of arrangement
*over* a ground plane, then I don't think it's a good idea. Routing the
diff-pair approach with no underlying ground plane is ok though.
