That may occur if your display screen is small, and your GTK font large.

Please try this: Select File->Preferences, and then General, and
"Alternate window layout to allow smaller horizontal size". And try "Put
layout name on the window title bar" below.

Hope this helps.

Another solution may be to select a smaller default font for your window
manager, but that will concern all programs.

If this still fails, you may need to patch the PCB sources...
