GLUT is VERY simple compared to SDL.  If it has the features you need, then
that simplicity is a good thing - but it's possible to out-grow it.

Also <plug>check out 'freeglut' - which is truly OpenSourced (GLUT is not)
and which has some nicer features whilst retaining backwards compatibility
with GLUT</plug>
