Really IMO gaming has lost much of it's fun since the obsession to make all games 3D began. My favorite style of game is sidescrolling platform games and we just don't see many of those anymore. Eventually I hope to get good enough at writing games to make myself some of these games but I know that such games would be panned as outdated by most players.Some games work really well in 2d, and don't *need* this new-fangled 3d thing :)
