Re: [pygame] The Giant - 'cool project I'm working on now' - thread.

cool, there's lots of fun projects so far...

My project I'm starting on is some dj/vj/game software for parties.
Mostly it's at the concept/research stage at the moment. The main
idea is to do simple video games at parties. Where instead of a
normal computer, there might be a tv screen, or a projector... and
dance mats, or a camera for input -- instead of mice/keyboard.

The idea is to be able to mix in different games, with the music/video
presentation. So say you had a space invaders game, you can mix that
in with the music which you have going, and with a video you might be
playing. Maybe even mixing in multiple games at once... so you could
mix space invaders with say pacman. So being able to set the % of the
games video coming through, and the % of the games sound being mixed
in would be needed.

So I guess an interface would be a mixture between http://freej.org/
mixxx.org and the game parts.

To be able to beat mix, and to trigger samples easily on the sound
side would be nice. Also a basic play list would be good. But maybe
a triple play list... one list would have the music, another would
have the visuals, and another one the games.
