[school-discuss] Edu-apps under wine

Along the same lines as the equivalency list (i.e., OpenOffice ~=
MSOffice, Mozilla ~= IE, etc), how about a list of MS-based edu apps
that run well under wine?

I say this because I have recently started using Lotus Notes with wine,
and wine has been very impressive.

The school where I'm the volunteer sysadmin has four Windows boxen in
the library that are NEVER working (although the linux PC's in the lab
always work wonderfully). Over the summer I'm going to look at the
MS-apps they run there and see how they hold up under wine. If I can
get enough of them to work, I'll be reformatting four harddrives ;-)

Here's a list of some of the apps we run:
Encarta
World Book
Britannica
SimPark
QuickVerse

The encyclopedias are a MUST. If I can't get them to run, I can't
switch over.

Has anyone tried any of these under wine? How did they work out? What
about other apps? (Accelerated Reader, Math Blaster, etc)

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
