Absolutely! It would be at its most useful if it includes substantial mention
of less sheet-music-oriented software as well, `tracker' type programs,
hard-disk recorders, even touch on video and soundtracks.
There are various HOWTOs around for the tracker-style applications, but they
generally focus on one app and don't delve into `proper' music utilities or
often even MIDI much at all.
Mandrake 8.2 ships with an app called (OTToMH) gramofile, which is focussed on
recovering tracks from vinyl records. Substantial mention of things like that
would tend to round such a document out more fully.
