journal sites software (was Re: [school-discuss] project idea: open source text books)

As I mentioned in my other post, the fan fiction community is also
facing issues of distributing written works from multiple authors.
Here are links to some of their Open Source projects that I've come
across.  Maybe some of their software would be useful to an open
textbook project or maybe some collaboration can be done with some of
these projects.
