being OO enough. But I guess it's not a matter of frame of mind, not a property of the language. I would say - leave the religious debate aside. Start with whatever language you are excited about, because then your excitement will show, and inspire your students.

And may I add: concentrate on your data. If you are an astromoner,
talk about astronomy and programming, and if you are a linguist
like me, talk about the properties of language you are interested in.
After all, the programming language is only a tool to manipulate
your beloved data!
