many things are social software http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
Social_software.    the practice of drawing the boundaries of what is
and what is not x won't be very profitable given that it is not a
fixed category with any essential properties.  social software
started with multi-user operating systems of the late 50's-60's and
continues on today in innumerable forms.  one thing that it probably
should be thought of is as a point of resistance for the Englebart
individualized personal computer model of computing http://
