Installing Debian...how many floppies:

If you are running DOS or Windows, load the CDROM, change to the CD drive,
run \boot\boot.bat on the cdrom to begin the installation.  Requires no
floppies.

On a clean system with no DOS but with a CDROM, boot the resc1440.bin
diskette and during the installation program, provide the drive number of
the CDROM.  Requires 1 floppy.  If a 1.2M floppy drive, requires 2
floppies.

If under 4 Meg RAM, requires lmemroot ... requires 2 floppies.

FTP install will require 7 floppies; rescue, drivers, 5 base diskettes.
