Dear LinuxWorld Conference Supporter,

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new event called the Federal Open
Source Conference.  This event will take place October 2 - 5, 2001 at the Ronald
Reagan Building and International Trade Center, in Washinton DC. The Federal
Open Source Conference is the premiere conference showcasing open source options
for government agencies.  The event was created by IDG World Expo to fill a need
in the government for more information on open source technologies.  Federal
Open Source Conference is the only event solely focused on showcasing open
source products and services to government agencies.

The Call for Papers is officially open and the deadline to submit a proposal is
FRIDAY, APRIL 27, 2001.  Please email your proposals to Kathy Moran, our
conference manager for this event.  The email address is <kathy_moran@idg.com>
and she can also be reached at 508.424.4825.

Please include the following information in your proposal:

* Speaker Name, Title, Affiliation, and Bio (25-50 words).
* Contact information for the speaker (including email address, phone, mailing
address)
* Track
* Session Title
* Session Abstract (should not be any longer than 100 words)

Below, please find the tracks that the conference will be divided into along
with the topics that we are looking for under each track.
