world time sources, you still need PTP enabled hardware in an unbroken chain to the source. But to use it locally for relative measuring, you just need a PTP enabled gateway with PTP ethernet on one side with the instrumentation,
and a webserver gateway to an ordinary ethernet port on the other side that you get timestamped data from.


No driver at all... (besides the standard ethernet you already have)
