BRL-CAD is focused on 3D modelling but lacks 2D functions. Last time I
checked, the manual didn't even mention a way to obtain a 2D drawing from
a 3D model, let alone semi automatic dimensioning. The introduction
states:

/---------------
Although BRL-CAD has been used for a wide variety of engineering and
graphics applications, the package's primary purpose continues to be the
support of (1) ballistic and (2) electromagnetic analyses.
\----------------

In addition, the user interface is not very intuitive. A simple
cylindrical mug takes 14 pages in the manual.
