Yes, I know all of that. I am concentrating right now on the particular use
of a particular tool for the accomplishment of one of the small steps in a
large set of steps. In particular, I am studying the use of Icarus Verilog
to create an RTL netlist. From that netlist, which has INV, OR, NAND, etc
defined, I am trying to understand how to flow the netlist into Magic. The
reason that I posted on this newsgroup was merely because both the Icarus
Verilog site and the Magic site indicate that geda are appropriate forums
for discussing those two particular pieces of software. My apologies for
causing you to the question: "How does an Icarus Verilog netlist flow into a
modest place and route in Magic", with the answer "The world is really
complicated these days".
