True, but not part of the "gaf" (gschem and friends) source set. I think there's a couple of programs in gEDA that aren't part of the gaf module, and have their own web sites and project management.

As for cadence, I'm guessing you've never installed "cadence" or you would not use that as an example. There are multiple downloads and multiple options for each download. For their IC layout tools, if you want design rule checking its a completely different download and install, if you want autorouting, its an totally different download and install.

Just because many people use gschem to drive pcb doesn't mean that everyone who uses gschem does that. I know of users who only use it for spice, users who only use it for pads, users who only use it for switcap. My guess is there are those who only use it for drawings in a document.
