The file selection dialogs in PCB do not allow the entry of the
forward-slash
character '/'. I always thought this was a bug, but in looking at the
code
this character is deliberately not allowed to be entered.

I was wondering why? Is it a security risk?
'/' is (at least on UNIX systems) an illegal character for a filename.
It is sthe systems path separator. Spaces are legach character in file
names, allthough it is tough to correctly deal with these files in
shell scripts.
