Yes, I see what you are saying.  My testing shows that the tab points are set 
to fixed columns.  I know that the columns aren't fixed on letters but I 
can't tell if they fixed on pixels or distance.  For example, I can get nice 
even tabs when using single characters but if I use too many characters then 
it skips columns.  I tried the letters 'w' and 'i' on separate lines.  I can 
fit 9 i's before it jumps to the next tab column while I can only fit 2 w's 
before it starts jumping columns.

Other than that the only other strange feature I can find is that I am able to 
find text hidden by "Hide specific text..."  The search results take me to 
the location as though something was found but the text remains hidden.  
However, I have never used this feature before so it may have been around for 
quite a while.

Heh, that's pretty cool.  If you make the text look and work much better I'm 
going to start using gschem for my word processing needs. ;)
