I'd go with this solution.  As nice as Wine is, there are still dark 
corners that are unimplemented--- and you're bound to discover them as 
soon as you start depending on the system.

With the most modern x86 CPUs that have virtualization opcodes, there's 
virtually no performance hit so long as you load the host machine up 
with RAM.  (I have an AMD64 with 8GB).
